Nursery – Magdalen Gates Primary School and Nursery

Magdalen Gates Nursery is a fantastic space for children aged 3 and 4 years old, situated within the Early Years wing of the main school building.

Our carefully planned Curriculum ensures that each child explores the 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage through a child-led curiosity approach.

Our Nursery is run and managed by fully qualified Early Years teachers.

The Nursery works closely with Magdalen Gates Primary Schools Reception class, sharing some story time and continuous provision. Building this relationship early in a child’s nursery experience ensures an easy transition if you choose to send your child to Magdalen Gates Primary School in the future.

Please be aware that attendance at Magdalen Gates Nursery does not guarantee a space in the main school.

Opening Times

The Nursery offers morning sessions from 8:45-11:45 am, term time only.

We accept 15 and 30 hrs Government funded spaces for 3 and 4 year olds, starting the term after they turn 3.

Nursery Uniform

We would like our Nursery pupils to feel a part of our whole school community. Whilst we do not have a formal nursery uniform we would like our pupils to wear either the school cardigan or jumper.

Our school uniform can be purchased from the below locations:

Magdalen Gates Primary School – Second hand uniform. Please contact the school office.

Silver Road Community Centre – Second hand unfiorm.
